Installation

Whether it's a new installation or you are switching from another company, Tripoli Propane makes the process convenient and hassle-free.  We ask that no matter if it is a new installation or a switch-out, you call our office as soon as possible to schedule your installation, as there are certain times of the year that are busier than others and we are sometimes scheduling out 2-3 weeks from when you may call in, so please keep that in mind and call today if you are interested in learning more about how easy it is to make the switch to Tripoli Propane.

New Installation

When you are having a new propane system installed please keep in mind that by the scheduled date of installation, you should have all propane appliances installed, please verify with your installer that all appliances have been set-up to run propane, and the piping should be installed and stubbed to the outside of the establishment.  If needed we will work with your contractor to help things run as smoothly as possible.

The day of installation, Tripoli Propane will set your tank at a mutually agreed upon location, install the underground line, and connect to your gas piping system outside the establishment.  Once the installation is complete Tripoli Propane will then perform a complete gas system safety check so you will know your system is working correctly and safely.  For all new installations, Tripoli Propane requires you to call diggers hotline before we dig.  You will also have to be home at the time of installation for the required signatures needed for the new installation.  Please keep in mind some of the requirements when installing a new propane system, see below.

Tank Location

At least 10 feet away from any structure
At least 10 feet away from any property line
Within 90 feet from where the delivery truck can SAFELY park

Underground Line

Must be buried at least 18 inches below your finished grade

Hassle-Free Switch

  1. Call today, let us know what size tank you need switched out, when is convenient for you, as you will have to be home when we do the switch and we will get started.
  2. We will deliver the tank to your home, cabin or place of business, set your old tank aside and install our tank in that exact same location.  If you would like the tank moved to a different location, we can do that as well.
  3. We will transfer any remaining propane from your old tank into the our tank.  It's your propane, you paid for it.
  4. Once the switch is complete we will do a complete gas system safety check so you have peace of mind that everything will be working correctly and safely.  Again you will need to be home at the time of the switch for the required signatures needed for the switch.
  5. Upon request or if you have chosen our Automatic-Fill Delivery option, we will make sure your tank is full and ready for whatever the weather may bring.
  6. Finally, just call your old provider and they will come pick-up their tank.
